Vitalise and Revitalise Projects' Books Sueños en Español

Each edition of the Dreams Project has been immortalised in a book. These books are an icon for the projects, as well as for sleep medicine in Spain.

Two books are published per year, one for each branch of the project:

                        - A book with a social nature (Vitalise)

                        - A book with a scientific nature (Revitalise)

The books are published by a prestigious communications group in Spain, RBA; and celebrities are in charge of writing the prologues.

Seven books of the Dreams Project have been published to date. The books are sold in bookstores throughout Spain. The profits from book sales cover the publishing costs and support the project.

The Vitalise Project book includes stories about the children in Aldeas, stories of personal hardship and success, of accomplished goals and anonymous heroes.

The Revitalise Project book includes the wining study of the edition and summaries of the runner-up studies. These books are more scientific in nature, related to sleep habits in which the quality of sleep of the population is analysed according to social, cultural, nutritional, environmental, psychological and medical-scientific aspects.

Shared dreams, anonymous heroes, 2009
In this book, the protagonists explain how, after reaching their centres, they established deep and lasting relationships , found stability in a family environment and learned to set goals and fight for them. This has been the objective of our organisation since the creation of the first Aldea Infantil SOS in Imst, in the Austrian Tyrol, by our founder Hermann Gmeiner almost 70 years ago.

Sleep well and make your dreams come true, 2009
Eleven studies were chosen for this new edition of the International Award for Sleep Studies. Over half are studies dedicated to sleep research in children. This is an extremely important fact. Sleep Medicine has been advancing rapidly in the knowledge concerning the sleep habits of children. Not too long ago, research work on this subject was almost inexistent. In recent years, though, the information obtained thanks to the effort of many researchers is shedding light on this fundamental life stage.

We will build a home. Families that thrive on love, 2008
When parents or family members cannot take care of a child for any reason, there are not many alternatives. There is, however, an organisation that wants to give these children an opportunity, a stable home, without separating brothers and sisters, and headed by women who can take care of them 24 hours a day. Aldeas Infantiles SOS is an organisation that works around the world building homes where brothers and sisters can live together, with emotional and economic support to move forward in life.

Sleep to grow. The importance of sleeping, 2008
Sleep, understood as nocturnal rest, is of vital importance to human beings. Thanks to it, we recover the energy necessary to face a new day and our bodies are rejuvenated. That is why it is so important to have quality sleep, for the correct amount of time and without alterations. This book includes the testimonies of SOS mothers, women who have lived with and raised girls and boys, collaborating in their personal and professional growth with absolute dedication.

Sleep well, live better. The keys to sleep during the different life stages, 2007
Includes data on sleep habits from infancy to old age. The book also explains how to sleep more peacefully and avoid the common difficulties associated to the initial stages of sleep.

Dreams. Ten personal success stories, 2006
There is nothing more wonderful than making a dream come true This book includes the stories of ten young people who lost their parents, their entire families, and continued to fight to keep their dreams alive and reach their goals. Ten stories of personal hardship and success that describe how dreams can become a reality, how to fight for them and triumph. The common values include will power, discipline and optimism... All of them under one theme: “Nothing is impossible”

Sleep, dream and rest. The keys to achieving a revitalising sleep, 2006

These words remind us of the importance of a good night’s rest. The book includes the runner-up studies of the first Scientific Contest of Sleep Studies announced by Hospes hotel chain and the Spanish Association of Sleep Pathology. Rigorous and unpublished studies that explain the keys to getting a good night's rest, while preventing insomnia and other related pathologies. Including tips and advice for the whole family.
