Fuenso International Shoe Design Awards

Since 2010, the Hospes Maricel celebrates every year  the Fuenso International Shoe Design Awards, a shoe design competition that brings together the leading exponents of the footwear industry at an international level and award the best shoe designs. 

Mallorca, island of more than 100 years of craftmanship of leather and shoes, is the perfect surrounding for the yearly awards.

The objetive of these awards is to combine authenticity, luxury and wellbeing in the footwear industry, offering a new vision of the work, creativity, and technology behind each pair of shoes. The awards are divided into the following categories:  

SEDUCTION- WOMAN: To the best women’s footwear design showing elegance and sensuality.

SEDUCTION - MAN:To the best men's footwear design showing elegance and sensuality.

INNOVATION:To the best footwaer design poffering a radical innovation.

BALEARIC:To the best footwear designed from a Balearic brand.

RISING STAR:To the best breakthough Designer

TRAJECTORY:To a remarkable career in the footwaer/ shoe industry.

The next Award night and 3rd edition will be celebrated in April 2012. An international jury of renown and the Presiednt of the jury Covadonga O'Shea  will nominate the best shoe designs for 2012.
