The Hotel Hospes Palacio de Arenales & Spa, in collaboration with the Extremeña Gastronomy Academy, Cáceres Capital of Gastronomy 2015 and the Denomination of Origin Cereza del Jerte, calls, at a national level, the Hospes Palacio de Arenales & Spa Award for the best tapa Cacereña made by bloggers.
The prize, whose bases are deposited before a notary, will fall on the three best tapas, of bloggers, related to Extremaduran cuisine. In this sense, the use of Extremadura products for the production of the tapa and, in a special way, the use of the cherry as an ingredient, will be positively valued.

On July 10 the finalists will be announced and on September 4 the three winners will be announced. On September 18, 2015 the contestants of the three winning tapas will collect their prize at the Hotel Hospes Palacio de Arenales (Cáceres) and there they will cook their tapa together with a professional chef.
The prestigious chef from Extremadura, José Pizarro, most famous Spanish chef from London, will be part of the jury for the selection of the best tapas, along with a member of the Extremeña Gastronomy Academy, one of the Jerte Cherry Designation of Origin, the Chef of Las Corchuelas Restaurant, a representative of the Hospes Hotels Infinite Places Hotel Chain, a gastronomic critic of the Cadena Cope and a gastronomic journalist from the Extremadura newspaper.
