Lighten dream by the Mediterranean light, is how we describe Hospes Amérigo. An environment that lures and invites: because relaxation, vitality and inspiration are more than just words. The austere architectural beauty and the elegant interior design are combined in a variety of spaces with unique characteristics such as, exquisitely and elegantly decorated rooms.

A gastronomic experience at the Monastrell Restaurant that enhances the freshest Mediterranean ingredients from the market and, as a final point, an atmosphere that keeps away the day by day routine and remain attached to the magical spell of Alicante.

The hotel is located, in the historical heart, of a former Dominicos convent, with amazing sights of the castle of Santa Barbara. And, just a few steps away, the Postiguet beach is situated within the city itself.

I have just returned from my second trip to Alicante and this wonderful hotel. It is absolutely beautiful and very luxurious in its decor. My room was spacious, clean and the roof top sunbathing area is stunning with the view of the castle. We had a bed and breakfast rate and the spread at breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. I hope to return again and again. Emma Cameron August 2009

For my first visit to Alicante, I went with the TripAdvisor reviews and chose this wonderful hotel. I am pleased that I did. I had been very attracted by the roof top pool, although, in the end, I didn't find the time to use it. The staff at the Amerigo were very helpful and welcoming. My room was spacious and very clean. It was a bit strange having the bathroom sink a bit "open plan" when entering the room, but I soon got used to it. My only complaint about the room was the difficulty I had working the door key. More than once I had to go in search of a maid to help me break into my room! This may just be me though, as I don't recall seeing any other comments about it. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the service, friendly. Alicante is a beautiful city and I will return there and to the Amerigo soon. I will also seek to try other hotels in this hotel group. I am impressed with their approach.

Excellent location, good room, helpful and friendly staff, cool (air con was so welcome) great lunch time tapas menu, quiet (don't understand previous reviews re: noise as there is triple glazing). Perfect relaxing stay.
