Saltworks of Es Trenc
Singular space protected in Mallorca
When the Phoenicians inhabited the island, they harvested salt in the Majorcan area of Es Trenc. But it was not until 2003 that this marine gift became a commercial success, at which time Katja Wöhr and Robert Chaves began to harvest it by hand from the saltworks of the island, just as it was originally done in the French Atlantic coast.
