  • The 450 employees of the boutique hotel chain will have unlimited learning tailored to their needs and ways of learning.
  • The training will have two itineraries: one transversal in ‘soft skills’ and another specific for each of the twelve departments around which the company articulates its workforce.
  • It is the first hotel chain that is committed to unlimited learning for its teams as part of its objective to attract and retain talent.
  • ODILO has designed specific programs that meet the needs of the corporate world and give L&D teams the ability to train their teams in an integrated manner.

Madrid, January 11th, 2023 – The Spanish hotel chain Hospes Hotels, which has a collection of historic buildings for relaxation and wellness, combining tradition and modernity, under an avant-garde style with great detail, has relied on ODILO, the Spanish ed-tech that allo ws any organization to have a customized learning ecosystem, to train its 450 employees in the nine destinations in which it operates: Alicante, Cáceres, Córdoba, Granada, Madrid, Mallorca, Salamanca, Seville and Valencia.

The partnership between the two companies responds to the hotel chain’s commitment to encourage the ‘upskilling’ and ‘reskilling’ of its employees so that they can develop professionally and personally. In this regard, a recent report by PwC on “The impact of inflation on talent management”, already points out that training (51%) will be one of the key areas within organizations in 2023 in order to boost employees’ skills.

Hospes Hotels points out the importance of this strategic collaboration in its goal of attracting and retaining talent. A key issue in a sector such as the hotel industry, one of the sectors with the highest turnover in our country. “We trust ODILO for its ability to respond to the challenge of finding a training provider that adapts to the needs of each of our employees. Thanks to this alliance, all of them will be able to develop themselves in what they most want according to their interests,” says Carolina Balaguer, Human Resources Director at Hospes Hotels.

In fact, the partnership will also streamline the onboarding processes that the hotel chain implements when a new employee is hired. Each new employee will be provided with specific learning paths and experiences, allowing them to better immerse themselves in the company’s culture and day-to-day operations, and, as far as the company is concerned, optimize its resource management in terms of saving time and money.

For his part, Alberto Abel, spokesperson for ODILO, points out that “collaborating with a hotel company of the importance of Hospes Hotels is a symptom that continuous training is an ally to promote talent retention among employees. This strategic alliance will allow us to develop ‘unlimited learning ecosystems’, adapted to the needs of the company’s 450 employees”. ODILO currently offers its educational content to more than 8,500 organizations in 52 countries.

Training in two itineraries that will also be available for family members.

Through this strategic alliance ODILO will offer Hospes Hotels staff two itineraries to develop both personally and professionally. One of them will be common to all employees of the group and will train in ‘soft skills’, transversal competencies that are currently highly demanded in all jobs regardless of the sector.

In addition, ODILO has also designed a second itinerary that includes specific content for employees in each of the departments in which Hospes organizes its workforce: quality and decoration; IT engineering and maintenance; gastronomy; hosts and customer experience; leadership, vision and strategy; planning and finance; health and wellness; sales and revenue; marketing and communication; and finally, talent management.

Each employee will have the opportunity to access a wide variety of multi-format resources including e-books and podcasts, press and magazines, as well as courses and educational experiences, which constitute the unlimited learning ecosystem, allowing each user to deepen their training according to their needs. Moreover, as an additional benefit for the employee, their family members will also be able to access these ODILO unlimited learning ecosystems.
