Didac Vellve, Chef of the Hospes Maricel & Spa

“In the kitchen of Hospes Maricel we are always looking to find the best products for our customers”. This chef has been trained in the stoves of great masters such as Sergi Arola or Paco Pérez.

It has been a few months in front of the restoration of Hospes Maricel and intends to position the hotel as a gastronomic reference in the island.

In the kitchen he uses season products, and by being situated in front of the sea, beats for it all, like fishes of the zone. And the menu we can find rice’s created with traditional broths and special meats formed local farms.

Between the desserts you can find an elaborated cheese table with different textures, gató from Mallorca and elaborated dishes with citrus fruits. The menu shows slices of different types of kitchen, like Asian methods that are fused with elements of the Mediterranean kitchen.

Didac Vellve tries not to distort the flavors of the food, runs away from the intense mixtures in order to have a principal element which is the main protagonist.
